Airgun Cleaning

  1. Air rifle and small caliber patch 2 inch in diameter. The 3 inch patch and slot "A" can also be used.
  2. The slotted tip is forged to the end of the cleaning rod.
  3. Insert the tip into a slot in the patch.
  4. Take a pinch on the patch and pinch upward to form a point.
  5. Put the point of the swab thru the slot in the brass tip.
  6. Pull the patch tip to form a knot. It is this knot that applies the solvent and scrubs the bore.
  7. You have formed a patch that gives 360 degree coverage. The tip cannot rub the bore as in conventional cleaning.
  8. By pinching in different locations around the patch you can make different size swabs from .177 to 25 caliber.
  9. A square patch up to 2 inches square can be used on air rifles. Put a slot ½ inch from the corner and follow the above procedure. If it is tied on, it will not come off in the bore.
